SIUE School of Nursing
The Southern Illinois University School of Nursing at Edwardsville has created a new center for students focused on the study of health sciences. The Simulated Learning Center helps nursing students learn how to react to emergency scenarios, and how to better care for a patient in a variety of circumstances. The center offers human-patient simulators, wireless devices, exam rooms for patients, and a machine for dispensing drugs similar to those used in the hospital environment. This is an excellent setting for learning and practicing nursing skills in the school setting in addition to the clinical time spent in a hospital facility.

NIU School of Nursing
Northern Illinois University School of Nursing plans to increase the number of nursing students it admits each year. The increase in the number of students will apply to the nurse freshman class as well as to the RN-to-BSN program.
